Lendershausen is a district of Hofheim in Lower Franconia . He is known for his cheese production; the Silberdistel-Milchwerke were founded in 1928 and taken over in 2003 by Milchwerke Oberfranken Meeder.
Geographical location
The town, located southwest of Hofheim, has almost grown together with the town. The Nassach flows past in the west , a tributary of the Main .

- In Lendershausen there is a sports club called TSV Lendershausen with around 400 members. It was founded in 1861.

Culture
The custom on the Spielberg in Lendershausen is the feast day on April 1st and the winter solstice bonfire.
history
Lendershausen was first mentioned in a document in 1244. According to a state treaty between the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and the Duchy of Saxony-Hildburghausen , Lendershausen, which had previously belonged to the Saxon office of Königsberg , was ceded to Würzburg in 1807.
The parish church of St. Laurentius was built from 1808 to 1855, with an organ, the pipe casing of which was made by Balthasar Neumann (estate from the Münsterschwarzach monastery ).
On January 1, 1978 Lendershausen was incorporated into the city of Hofheim.
