The province of Chlef ( Arabic ولاية الشلف, DMG Wilāyat aš-Šalif , tamazight ⴰⴳⴻⵣⴷⵓ ⵏ ⵛⵛⵍⴻⴼ Agezdu n Cclef ; also Schalif ) is a province ( wilaya ) in northwestern Algeria .

The province is located on the Mediterranean coast west of Algiers and covers an area of ​​4440 km².

The capital of the province is Chlef , also known as Ech Cheliff or earlier Orléansville, and Chettia is also important.
