Erlsdorf is a district of the town of Hofheim in Lower Franconia in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge in northern Bavaria .

Geography and transport links

The hamlet is 5.5 km northeast of Hofheim. The Baunach , a right tributary of the Main, flows on the northern edge of the village . The district road HAS 40 runs directly to the south from Hofheim to Gemeinfeld .

history

The place is first mentioned in 1231. Until 1920 it was a Saxon enclave with customs barriers to the Bavarian region.
