Lennart Nilsson (* 1959 ) is a former Swedish football player . The offensive player ran for IF Elfsborg and IFK Göteborg in the Allsvenskan , winning the Swedish championship and the UEFA Cup .

Career

Nilsson made his debut in 1978 for IF Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan. In the following years he wavered with the team between the relegation battle and the upper third of the table. In the 1981 season he reached with the club on the one hand the final of the Swedish National Cup , which was lost to Kalmar FF . On the other hand, the club had to compete in the relegation games - despite his nine goals this season, which led him to eighth place in the scorers' list as the club's best goalscorer - where he received the class against BK Häcken .
