Leonard Riegel
Leonard Riegel (* 1983 in Göttingen ) is a German cartoonist , comic artist and satirist .
Life
Riegel studied visual communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel . In 2009 he graduated from the summer academy for comic art at the Caricatura Kassel; in the same year he won third place at the German Cartoon Prize. In 2012 his works were exhibited at Caricatura VI. His drawings and caricatures have been published in Titanic , FAZ , Taz , Brigitte Woman and various cartoon anthologies.
In 2014 he was a scholarship holder of the Sondermann Association ; In 2015 he also received the Sondermann Award for Comical Art. Since 2014 he has been editor of the satirical magazine Titanic, where he is responsible for the cartoon and picture joke categories as the successor to Stephan Rürup .
Riegel lives in Frankfurt am Main and Kassel .
