Leonhard Church (Knittlingen)
The Leonhardskirche is a Protestant parish church in Knittlingen , a town in the Enzkreis in Baden-Württemberg , which was built in the Middle Ages . The church is a protected cultural monument .

tower
The lower part of the tower was built around 1100. Presumably it was first built as a defense tower and later converted into a church tower. It has a barrel vault on all floors and closes with a Welschen hood .
Choir
The choir was built in 1469 in the Gothic style, it has narrow lancet windows . At the buttresses of are Abtsstab that Cistercian diamond and a five-petal rose shown as a symbol of belonging to convent Maulbronn .
Nave
The nave originally dates from the end of the 16th century and was changed several times in the following years. During the renovation in 2009, small parts of the paintwork were exposed.
Leaded glass window
In 1926 lead glass windows were installed on both sides of the pulpit , known as war windows . They remember the fallen of the First World War .
