Leopold perch

Leopold Barsch (* March 21, 1888 in Langenzersdorf ; † July 18, 1945 ) was an Austrian politician ( CS ), member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and deputy governor of Lower Austria .

Life

Leopold Barsch was born on March 21, 1888 in Langenzersdorf. Having high schools in Korneuburg and Stockerau visited he studied until 1913 Jus at the University of Vienna . After the court practice he came to Eskomptebank in Prague in 1914 . During the First World War, perch was a Russian prisoner of war. After three years in Siberia , he fled and took part in the Piave offensive in June 1918. After serving in the war, he took over his parents' business and became a wine maker .

From 1919 to 1938 he was mayor of Langenzersdorf, in 1922 he became vice-president of the newly founded state chamber of agriculture and remained so until 1937.

Already in 1922 he was nominated for the retiring John Mayer in the I. legislative period called the Lower Austrian Parliament. After the state elections in 1927 , he was appointed regional councilor, and from 1931 to 1935 he was also the state governor's deputy. Persch died on July 18, 1945.
