Leopold Löffler (born October 27, 1827 in Rzeszów ; † February 6, 1898 in Kraków ; also Leopold Edler von Löffler-Radymno , Leopold Loeffler ) was a Polish painter. He was best known for patriotic, historical paintings from Polish history as well as genre paintings .

Löffler was born in Rzeszów in 1827 as the son of a civil servant. From 1832 he spent the summers with his uncle Philipp Löffler, who was mayor of Radymno . From 1845 Löffler studied at the Vienna Court Academy with Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller , among others , and from 1856 in Munich. After that he lived in Vienna, from 1877 he was professor at the art school in Cracow .
