Leopold Reinelt

Leopold Reinelt (born November 10, 1903 in Stolzenhain , Bohemia , † February 10, 1957 in Wiesbaden ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a senior teacher, Reinelt went to the Stiftsobergymnasium in Duppau , where he founded a National Socialist youth association in 1921 . He studied in Prague law . During his studies he became a member of the Constantia Prague fraternity in 1922 . In the same year he became a member of the National Socialist student body in Prague. In 1926 he became a member of the German Socialist Workers' Party (DNSAP), to which he belonged until it was dissolved in 1933. In 1927 he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD .

After completing his studies, he was a trainee lawyer in Kaaden , Karlsbad and Sternberg until 1932 . In 1930 he became local chairman of the DNSAP in Schlackenwerth ; In 1931 he became second mayor . From 1932 he also worked as a lawyer in Schlackenwerth . He was legal advisor to the 101st SS Standard . In 1936 he was temporarily held in custody because of his political activities . In 1938 he became mayor of Schlackenwerth for the Sudeten German Party (SdP) and worked as an honorary director of the Volksbank. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 he became a member of the SS (SS no. 328.495) and the NSDAP ( member no . 6,739,957). In 1940 he went into public service and became district administrator in the Podersam district . In 1941 he became SS-Untersturmführer and worked as a press officer for the 101st SS Standard. In 1942 he became SS-Sturmbannführer , in 1944 SS-Untersturmführer of the Waffen-SS . Here he worked as an orderly officer at the SS site commander in Pressburg , later at the SS main office .

After expulsion in 1946 and internment in 1947, he was denazified with level IV and worked in Breitenbach near Schlüchtern as a lumberjack and forest worker . From 1951 he was again admitted to the bar and worked in Schlüchtern . In 1953, Wenzel Jaksch got him a job as head of the home information center for the Eger administrative region at the Hessian Ministry of the Interior . He became district chairman and member of the Hessian state board of the Association of Expellees .
