Háj is located northeast of the Klínovec on the ridge of the central Ore Mountains near the German border near Oberwiesenthal . South of the village there is a connection to the road from Boží Dar to Měděnec .
The village on the Bílá Voda ( Weißwasser ), a tributary of the Pöhlbach , emerged as a mining settlement in the 16th century. A settlement in the immediate vicinity of Rauhenbusch soon grew together with Stolzenhan and became part of him. The place belonged to the Joachimsthal property of Kaspar von Schlicks, who operated silver mines here . In 1623 the Schlicken were expropriated after the Battle of the White Mountains . In the course of the Reformation , Stolzenhain and the neighboring town of Böhmisch Wiesenthal had become Protestant. They belonged to the Unterwiesenthal parish on the Saxon side. Due to the Counter Reformation in the Kingdom of Bohemia , the Protestant exiles had to leave their homeland in the first half of the 17th century and found a new home across the border. In 1650, Böhmisch Wiesenthal and Stolzenhain were given a common Catholic church.
In 1902 the place was officially referred to as Stolzenhain . After the end of the mining industry, the number of inhabitants fell steadily in the 20th century. After the end of the Second World War, the German residents were expelled . In 1948 the village lost its independence and came to Loučná, at the same time it became part of the Okres Karlovy Vary-okolí . During the territorial reform of 1960 it came to Okres Chomutov . Between 1986 and 1991 Loučná was incorporated into Vejprty . Currently the place consists almost entirely of holiday homes. - In 2014 the village consisted of 14 houses in which 21 people lived.
The districts of Gahlerberg, Hofberg and Königsmühle, which belonged to Stolzenhain before the Second World War, have now been abandoned. The ruins of the desert are partially preserved.
