Lesnovo Hill

The Lesnovo Hill (English; Bulgarian хълм Лесново chalm Lesnowo ) is an approximately 1000  m high and mostly icy hill in the north of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It rises 6.9 km southwest of Mount Sanderson , 19.3 km west-southwest of Mount Cupola , 6.23 km north of the Serpent Nunatak and 10.95 km east of the center of the Landers Peaks at the western end of Care Heights in the Rouen Mountains on. The Nichols snowfield is west of him.

British scientists mapped it in 1971. The Bulgarian geologists Christo Pimpirew and Borislaw Kamenow visited it on January 28, 1988 together with Philip Nell and Peter Marquis from the British Antarctic Survey . The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2017 after the town of Lesnovo in western Bulgaria .
