history

Lesten was first mentioned in a document in 1532. The spellings Lestin , Leistin , Lehstin , Lestien and Lessinn can also be found for the name . It was a solitary courtyard. The first mention mentions the farm as a vicariate property with a rent of ten marks. The name comes from the term leska back and is in the meaning of Haselbusch understood.

In the 16th century, the court of the Putbus family was given to the lords of Normann- Tribberatz. In 1577, Ludwig von Putbus exchanged Christoph von Normann's court for a court near Dalkvitz .

In 1627 the Hoff zu Leistin was pledged by the Freiherr zu Putbus, Volkmar Wolf , to Captain Heinrich von Schwan for 1000 guilders. The pledged farm included cultivated and uncultivated fields, pasture, heather, logging and fishing. The Lanckener Kirchenmatrikel from 1664 mentions the farm as being managed by a farmer. The farm had to deliver 50 sheaves of rye, barley and oats each year to the pastor of the Lancken church . The sexton received one loaf, one sausage, 15 eggs and a bushel of rye. Until 1668, the Dobran and Burwitz families are listed as residents in church registers and tax lists.

In the state register card from 1695, however, the farm is then listed as desolate. The area came to Garftitz further west .

An information board at the northern exit of Neuensien reminds of Lesten.
