Lethal is an Argentinian heavy metal band. It was founded in 1988 under the name Legión and plays music from the subgenres Thrash Metal , Speed ​​Metal and Groove Metal .

history

The band was founded in 1988 as "Legión" in Villa Martelli as a traditional heavy metal band that turned to thrash metal relatively quickly . In 1990 her debut album Bienvenidos a mi reino appeared , which appeared almost entirely with English lyrics and included the song King of the Ring . This song was voted the best Argentine song of the year by readers of Madhouse magazine. In 1992 the album Warriors was released as the band's second album.

In 1993 the band played together with other Argentinian bands such as Hermética , Pilsen , Attaque 77 , Massacre and ANIMAL as well as the British UK Subs in the Argentine prison Lisandro Olmos and released the live album Radio Olmos . In addition, the band played several times as the opening act for well-known metal bands such as Sepultura , Pantera and Anthrax .

In 1994 the band released the successful album Maza , followed in 1996 by Efecto tequila . In the same year the guitarist Charly Guillén left the band due to an AIDS disease and died in the same year. After a break, the band released the fifth album Lethal 5.0 in 1999 , and a year later they announced their separation.

In 2007 the band reunited and in 2010 they released their sixth album, Inyección Lethal with a new line-up. The album Hasta la muerte followed in 2015 .
