Lewis Reeves

Lewis Reeves (born March 29, 1988 in Doncaster ) is a British actor .

life and career

Reeves was born in 1988 in Doncaster , England. He was a student at Henley-College in Henley-on-Thames and studied at the Royal Welsh School of Music and Drama, where he graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in drama. The following year he made his professional theater debut with a performance of Our Boys alongside Matthew Lewis and Arthur Darvill .

In 2014 he played at Donmar Warehouse in the revival performance of My Night with Reg by Kevin Elyot, who died in preparation for the twentieth anniversary of the premiere; the following year it took place at the Apollo Theater in the West End. Reeves played the role of Eric, for which he had to strip naked on stage during the course of the play. A promotional poster showing him with his bare bottom has been banned by Transport for London from being used on the London Underground .

On television he began in 2012 with smaller episode roles in various series. Recurring roles followed in 2013 in The Support Group , 2015 in Uncle and 2016 in Crazyhead . Since 2015 he has played the lead role of DC Jake Collier in the British crime drama Unforgotten .

In the soccer simulation games FIFA 17 and FIFA 18 , Reeves speaks the character Gareth Walker in the story mode The Journey .

Reeves wrote the short film Lola , for which he hired Alexander Vlahos as a director. Filming took place in 2018 following a crowdfunding campaign via Indiegogo . Reeves stars alongside Anna Brewster and Arinzé Kene in the film, which was released in March 2020 and subsequently shown at film festivals. Reeves was named Best Supporting Actor for Lola at the Liverpool Underground Film Festival in June 2020 .
