The Lexus LX series of large SUVs from Toyota’s Lexus brand is called.

The LX series was first presented and sold in 1996. It is not officially offered in Germany.

The Lexus LX is a particularly luxurious version of the Toyota Landcruiser, adapted to the North American premium market .

The first generation was offered as the LX 450 (FZJ80). It had an in-line six-cylinder 4.5 liter engine with 212 hp (158 kW). With the LX 450, which was based almost entirely on the Toyota Land Cruiser of the 80 series, Lexus entered the area of SUVs for the first time .

In 1998 Lexus launched the second generation as the LX 470. This was again based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, now the 100 series. The designation as LX 470 indicated a larger displacement, which had now grown to 4.7 liters. The V8 engine initially made 230, later 235 and finally 268 hp.

Lexus launched the LX 570 in the 2008 model year. This is also related to the Toyota Land Cruiser, but made its debut before its sister model. The LX 570 has a V8 petrol engine that has grown to 5.7 liters. This has an output of 270 kW (367 hp) and delivers a maximum torque of 530 Nm. At the end of 2015, a V8 diesel engine was launched on the Russian market, which was actually used in the Toyota Land Cruiser in Europe, but is no longer offered there.
