The Lexus CT 200h is a compact class vehicle from the premium brand Lexus , which belongs to Toyota , and which came onto the German market on March 19, 2011. The car has the " Hybrid Synergy Drive " called, developed by Toyota hybrid drive .
history
With the CT 200h, which is based on the Toyota Prius , Lexus has expanded its range of models, which so far only started in the middle class, with a smaller model, which is aimed particularly at the European market. Unlike the Prius, the Lexus CT has a body shape that is common for the compact class. The drive system is identical to the Prius, but produces slightly better fuel consumption and driving performance, especially due to the lower weight. This leads to CO 2 emissions of 87 grams per kilometer, which at the end of 2010 was only undercut by a very small car , namely the Smart Fortwo 0.8 cdi with 86 grams per kilometer.
The car takes up the LF-Ch study presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 2009 , in which Lexus presented a compact class vehicle for the first time. The finished CT 200h was then presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The price in Germany started at the market launch from € 28,900. The car has been on sale in Japan since January 2011 and in the USA since March 2011. In the model name, CT stands for Creative Touring , 200h for the fact that the hybrid drive should correspond to the performance of a conventional two-liter engine.
In spring 2014 the CT was revised. In particular, the front design has been changed and the radiator grille has been enlarged. There are now air inlets at the rear. The vehicle received another facelift in autumn 2017.
The CT 200h took first place in the 2011/2012, 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 editions of the VCD's most environmentally friendly cars . In the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 editions, the CT took second place after the natural gas vehicle VW Eco Up (2013/2014 together with the sister models Seat Mii and Škoda Citigo ).
Furnishing
Depending on the variant, the standard equipment includes rear lights and daytime running lights as LEDs , automatically switching on LED headlights and a multifunction steering wheel with integrated radio control. The range of seat covers is unusually large, especially when compared to other premium manufacturers. Five different colors (black, red, brown, blue and beige) are available in fabric or leather.
