Seat Mii five-door (since 2012)

The Seat Mii is a small car from Seat . It is a variant of the New Small Family in the VW Group. The vehicle appeared on the Spanish market at the end of 2011 . It has been available throughout Europe since April 2012.

The Mii is 3.55 meters long and should offer space for four passengers . A five-door version has been available since May 2012, and the Mii was also available as a three-door model until 2018; the sister models up! and Citigo are still available as three-door models. The trunk offers 251 liters of space; it can be increased to 951 liters by folding down the rear seat bench. The safety equipment includes four airbags as standard ; an emergency braking assistant is optionally available. The emergency brake assist detected by a laser - sensor other vehicles that move in the direction of travel. If the driver is driving less than 30 km / h, the system warns the driver and if he does not react, the Mii brakes automatically. A head / thorax side airbag is installed in the driver's seat and in the front passenger seat.

Except for the design, the vehicle is almost identical to the Škoda Citigo and the VW up! . Like Škoda and Volkswagen, Seat offers three engine versions with a 1.0-liter engine with 44 or 55 kW each and a version with a gas engine and 50 kW. Later on, other engines and a vehicle with an electric drive will follow. The VW up! Serves as the basis of the Mii. All three vehicles are manufactured side by side at the Slovakian plant in Bratislava .

In 2019, Seat presented the purely battery-powered Mii (61 kW) with the name Mii Electric . It replaced the combustion version.

Furnishing

As with numerous other models, Seat offers three equipment lines: Mii (basic), Reference and Style. In the highest equipment line (Style) the car has, among other things, electric windows and central locking including radio remote control ex works.

Since May 2012, the Mii has had a hill start assistant as standard .

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2017 , Seat presented the eMii, the prototype of its first electric car. The eMii is based on the VW e-up! . First, a small series of ten vehicles was built for a car sharing project.

In June 2019, the series version Mii Electric was presented, which came on the market in early 2020. The vehicle has a usable battery capacity of 32.3 kWh (36.8 kWh gross) and a range of 260 km according to WLTP. The lithium-ion battery consists of 168 pouch cells (84 cells in series, two cells connected in parallel) with a capacity of 60 Ah each and weighs a total of 248 kg. The battery is guaranteed for eight years or 160,000 km. The maximum output of the electric drive train is 61 kW (83 hp); the maximum torque is 212 Nm. The charging power of the onboard charger is specified as 7.2 kW (16 A, two-phase). A CCS fast charging function with up to 40 kW is available for an additional charge .
