The Seat Toledo I (Type 1L) is a compact class vehicle from Seat , which was built between May 1991 and March 1999.
Model history
After the takeover by Volkswagen AG in the 1980s, Seat presented the Toledo as a lower middle class sedan in early 1991 . It was a 4.33 m long vehicle with a notchback , but with a large tailgate and a 550 liter trunk, which was supposed to replace the Seat Malaga .
The first Toledo model series was half developed by Seat and VW and contained parts of the VW Golf II and III (2.0 GTi engine, 2E).
In the fall of 1995 there was a model that had been revised both inside and out, which also bore the type designation 1L. The motorization included engines from 1.6 liter 53 kW (72 PS, later 55 kW (75 PS)) to the top version with 2.0 liter 16V 110 kW (150 PS) and 1.9 liter diesel engines of 47 kW (64 PS) to 81 kW (110 PS). The entire range of engines and chassis technology came from the VW Golf.
