The Seat Ronda from the Spanish car manufacturer Seat is a five-door station wagon in the compact class, which was built from mid-1982 with a modified design and revised engines as the successor to the Seat Ritmo .
The stylistic revisions were carried out by Rayton Fissore and Tom Tjaarda . In Germany, the program initially comprised the following models:
- Seat Ronda 1.2 with 1188 cm³ and 47 kW (64 PS), top speed 145 km / h
- Seat Ronda 1.6 with 1577 cm³ and 68 kW (92.5 PS), top speed 170 km / h
- Seat Ronda 1.7 D with 1714 cm³ and 41 kW (56 PS), top speed 140 km / h
As early as autumn 1984 , Seat had Porsche designed a new range of Porsche systems and transmissions. The new engines also had electronic ignition and carburettors. The diesel engine remained unchanged. Therefore, the new models also had the P (for Porsche) in the type designation:
- Seat Ronda P 1.2 with 1193 cm³ and 46 kW (63 PS), top speed 148 km / h
- Seat Ronda P 1.5 with 1461 cm³ and 62.5 kW (85 PS), top speed 166 km / h
- Seat Ronda P Crono 2.0 with 1995 cc and 88 kW (120 PS), top speed 190 km / h
In the spring of 1985, the Malaga notchback sedan based on the Ronda P appeared .
At the end of 1986 production of the Seat Ronda P was stopped. The Malaga took over the position of the Ronda, which meant that Seat no longer had a compact hatchback in the range. It was not until autumn 1999 that a vehicle with these specifications was added to the model range again with the Seat Leon , which was based on the VW Golf .
