The Seat Arona is a car model made by Seat . It is only offered without all-wheel drive and is considered a crossover . It has been manufactured at Seat's main plant in Martorell since autumn 2017 .
The Seat Arona was presented to the trade press and via Facebook live stream in Barcelona on June 26, 2017 . The world premiere took place in September 2017 at the IAA in Frankfurt am Main . A natural gas version debuted at the Paris Motor Show in October 2018.
The name Arona follows the tradition of Seat, according to which the models are named after Spanish places or regions. Arona is a city in Tenerife .
Like the Seat Ibiza V , the Škoda Kamiq or the VW T-Cross , the Arona is based on the A0 modular transverse matrix from Volkswagen AG .
Furnishing
The Seat Arona will be offered in the equipment lines Arona (Basis), Reference , Style , XCELLENCE and FR (Formula Racing) when it is launched . The XCELLENCE (comfort) and FR (sport) lines are both considered the highest equipment line at Seat; they appeal to different groups of buyers.

Registration numbers
In the first sales year 2017, 910 Arona - 9 of them with diesel engines - were newly registered in the Federal Republic of Germany. In 2018, 2,526 of a total of 22,053 vehicles were diesel-powered, in 2019 2,355 of a total of 22,604 Arona had a diesel engine.
