The seat 132 is a four-door notchback - sedan with rear-wheel drive segment of the middle class . With the 132, Seat replaced the Seat 1500 series . The body shape corresponds to that of the Fiat 132 , but the Seat 132 did not appear in Spain until May 1973 with other engines: The Seat 132 1600 has a 4-cylinder in-line engine with 1592 cm³ and 72 kW / 98 PS, the Seat 132 1800 with one 1756 cm³ displacement and 79 kW / 107 PS.

The Seat 132 Diesel - like the Seat 1500 Diesel 2000 - had a Mercedes-Benz engine with two liters displacement and 40 kW / 55 PS (corresponding to the Mercedes 200 D ), later with 2.2 liters displacement with 44 kW / 60 PS from the Mercedes 220 D .

From 1979 there was the Seat 132 2000 with 1930 cm³ displacement and 109 HP / 80 kW.

When Fiat switched to the new Argenta in the spring of 1981 , production of the Seat 132 also ended after 100,000 copies. Only in 2009 with the Seat Exeo was the segment served again at Seat.
