The Seat 128 3p was a three-door hatchback hatchback in the middle class , which Seat took over from Fiat and launched on the market in mid- 1977 . Its in-line four-cylinder engine corresponded to that of the Seat 1200/1430 Sport Coupé and had a displacement of 1197 cm³ or 1430 cm³ and developed 49 kW / 67 PS or 56.5 kW / 77 PS. This was enough for 160 km / h.

In terms of size, the car was between the Seat 1200 Sport Coupé, which was offered at the same time, and the older Seat 124 Sport Coupé, but had the large tailgate ahead of both.

The other models of the Fiat 128 were never built in Spain. In spring 1979 the production of the coupé was stopped in favor of the Seat Ritmo .
