Li Xueying

Li Xueying ( Chinese 李雪英 ; born May 15, 1990 in Zhengzhou , Henan Province ) is a Chinese weightlifter . In 2009 she became world champion and 2012 Olympic champion in a duel in the weight class up to 58 kg body weight.

Career

Li Xueying comes from Zhengzhou in the province of Henan . She lives and trains there too. Your trainer is Yan Hanyong.

In 2007 she became Chinese junior champion and achieved a very good 233 kg (106–127) in a duel. In the same year she was sent to the Junior World Championship in Prague . There she managed in a duel 225 kg (102-123), with which she won over Chanpook Natthaneeva from Thailand , who came to 205 kg (90-115) and Mun Yu-ra from South Korea , 205 kg (92-113).

Her hopes of qualifying for the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 were not fulfilled, as she was unable to train fully due to an injury and was therefore unable to perform as required. Although it was used at the Asian Championship in Kanazawa and won there in the class up to 58 kg body weight with 227 kg (102-125), but the starting place for the Olympic Games won Chen Yanqing , who was already 2004 Olympic champion.

In 2009, the only 19-year-old had great successes. In April of this year she was Chinese champion in the class up to 58 kg body weight and achieved 233 kg (100-133). She referred Li Yanyan and ex-world champion Qiu Hongmei , who both achieved 228 kg in a duel, to places two and three. Li Xueying had a fantastic performance at the Chinese National Games in Jinan . The Chinese Weightlifting Association then used it at the World Championships in Goyang / South Korea , where it fully met expectations. She did not achieve her brilliant performance from Jinan, but was safe world champion with 239 kg (107-132) in a duel before Nastassja Novikawa from Belarus , 225 kg and Juli Kalina from Ukraine , 215 kg. She also became world champion in snatching and pushing.

In 2010 she won the Asian Games in Guangzhou in the weight class up to 58 kg with a duel of 238 kg (105-133), but she was not used at the World Cup this year. In 2011 Li Xueying became the Asian champion in Tongling / China. At the World Cup this year in Paris she was surprisingly beaten by Belarusian Nastassija Novikawa. She achieved in the duel 236 kg (103-133), while Nastassija Nowikawa after 101 kg in the snatch brought 136 kg in the push to the high distance and thus won the duel with 237 kg.

Li Xueying prepared intensively for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. She was therefore in excellent shape there and became an Olympic champion with her personal best of 246 kg (108-138) in a duel in a superior style. Then she ended her career.
