Licia Troisi

Licia Troisi (born November 25, 1980 in Ostia , Rome , Italy ) is an Italian fantasy writer.

Life

Troisi studied physics and astrophysics . In 2004 she received her doctorate from the University of Rome Tor Vergata with a thesis on dwarf galaxies . She works for the Italian space agency in Frascati .

Troisi has been married since 2007 and their daughter was born in December 2009.

Literary work

Already during her studies Licia Troisi dealt with comics, especially with Japanese manga .

At 21 she began to write "The Dragon Fighter". It took her a year and a half to do this, then another six months for the first revision. In 2004 she finally submitted her novel Cronache del mondo emerso (German "Chronicles of the Emerged World") to the Milanese publishing house Mondadori . The book, published from 2004 to 2006, became a bestseller with over 100,000 copies sold. Initially a one-volume novel was planned, but it was later expanded into a trilogy ; this appeared under the German title Die Drachenkampfin .

As a result, Licia Troisi wrote and published other fantasy novels.
