Lidia Parada Santos (born June 11, 1993 in A Pobra do Caramiñal ) is a Spanish javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Lidia Parada gained her first international experience in 2009 at the World Youth Championships in Bressanone , where she was eliminated from the qualification with a width of 37.57 m, as well as at the 2012 Junior World Championships in Barcelona with 50.33 m. The following year she took part for the first time in the U23 European Championships in Tampere , Finland , where she finished eleventh with 48.30 m in the final. In 2014 she was fifth at the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Aubagne with 49.11 m, as well as 52.07 m at the Ibero-American Championships in São Paulo . In 2015, she classified 54.06 m in sixth place at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn . In 2016 she qualified for the first time for the European Championships in Amsterdam , where she did not make it to the final with 57.34 m. Also at the European Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2018 , she was eliminated with 58.08 m in qualification, but was then fifth at the Ibero-American Championships in Trujillo with 51.00 m . In 2019 she took part in the European Games in Minsk , where she came 21st with 52.17 m.

From 2015 to 2018 Parada was the Spanish javelin champion.
