Liselott Baumgarten

Liselott Baumgarten , actually: Elisabeth Charlotte Wiesenhütter b. Hessel-Baumgarten (born December 12, 1906 in Dresden , † January 23, 1981 in Görlitz ) was a German actress who appeared primarily in DEFA and DFF film productions.

Life

She made her acting debut in 1922 on a theater stage in Görlitz. Baumgarten later played theater on stages all over Germany before she worked for many years at the Görlitzer Theater. From 1965 to 1975 she was a member of the Berliner Ensemble . She also worked in many DEFA and DFF film productions in the GDR , where she was seen almost exclusively in supporting roles.
