Liisa Helena Suihkonen (born September 27, 1943 in Suonenjoki , Pohjois-Savo ) is a former Finnish cross-country skier .

Suihkonen was able to win her only national championship title in 1966 - in an individual race over 10 km. She also appeared for the first time in 1966 at the Nordic World Ski Championships at Holmenkollen , Oslo . Further participations followed in 1970 in Vysoké Tatry , Czechoslovakia and 1974 in Falun, Sweden . At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , France, she was 18th in the 10 km race. Her second Olympic participation was in 1976 in the relay. Together with Marjatta Kajosmaa , Hilkka Riihivuori-Kuntola and Helena Kivioja-Takalo , she won silver.

During and after her active career, Suihkonen worked as a teacher. She was also represented on the city council of her hometown Suonenjoki and since 1997 chairwoman of her ski club Suonenjoen Vasama .
