Lilium cernuum is a species from the genus of the lilies ( Lilium ) in the Sinomartagon section .
description
Lilium cernuum reaches a height of up to 65 cm. The bulbs are oblong-oval to round and reach a diameter of about 2.5 to 4 cm, the scales are white and lanceolate or egg-shaped. The stem is smooth. The leaves are narrow and linear, between 4 and 18 cm long and between 1 and 5 mm wide. They are sessile and distributed around the stem, the leaf margins are slightly bent back and papilose .
The plant blooms in July with 1 to 6 nodding, strongly fragrant flowers in a panicle . The hermaphrodite flowers are threefold. The six identical bloom cladding sheets ( tepals ) are strongly bent back ( Turkish covenant shape ), 35 to 45 mm long and 8 to 10 mm wide. The basic color of the flowers is pale purple, rose-purple or light purple with deep purple points towards the base. The nectaries are dense and papillary on both surfaces. Each flower contains three carpels and six stamens. The anthers are dark purple and about 14 mm long, the pollen are brick-red and the filaments are about 20 mm long. The ovary is cylindrical between 8 and 10 mm long with a diameter of 2 mm. The seeds mature in round seed capsules measuring 12 to 20 mm . The seed of Lilium cernuum germinates instantly - epigeously .
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.

Lilium cernuum is in the province of Liaoning in the People's Republic of China , in Korea and in the Primorye Territory in Russia at home.
The species grows on grassy slopes or in thickets.
