Lily-Rose Melody Depp (born May 27, 1999 in Paris ) is a French - American film actress and model.

Life

Lily-Rose Melody Depp was born in 1999 in Paris to Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis . Her parents were never married and the family initially lived in France. In 2012, her parents separated after a 14-year relationship and shared custody of their daughter. She then commuted back and forth between Paris and Los Angeles , only to move to the United States for good later.

Career

After a brief modeling career, Lily-Rose Depp followed her father into the film industry. She got her first film role in Tusk from Kevin Smith , the father of her friend Harley Quinn Smith . In Yoga Hosers , the second part of the True North trilogy by Kevin Smith, she took on a leading role at the side of Harley Quinn Smith. In the film The Dancer , which premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2016 , she can be seen in the role of Isadora Duncan , an American dancer and choreographer who paved the way for modern expressive dance.
