Lily Pringsheim (born Chun ; born February 7, 1887 in Königsberg , East Prussia , † September 28, 1954 in Darmstadt ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament in Hesse.

Her maternal grandfather was the German zoologist and geologist Carl Vogt (1817–1895), initially a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly from 1848 and, after his escape to Switzerland, from 1852 professor at the University of Geneva. His daughter Lily Vogt married the zoologist and deep-sea researcher Carl Chun (1852-1914), professor at the Universities of Königsberg and Leipzig.

Her daughter Lily married the natural scientist and plant physiologist Ernst Pringsheim junior (1881–1970) from the well-known Pringsheim family on March 18, 1907 in Leipzig . The marriage was divorced in 1921.

Lily Chun settled in Darmstadt with her five children after her divorce . She joined the SPD and drew attention to herself as a “brilliant, impressive and courageous speaker”. It was particularly valued by Interior Minister Wilhelm Leuschner (1890–1944). From December 1931 to April 1933 she was a member of the Hessian state parliament . After the National Socialists came to power , she managed to escape to Czechoslovakia and, after 1938, to the United States . In 1950 she returned to Darmstadt, where she lived on Luisenplatz . The planned return to politics failed, however.
