Lime Kiln Valley AVA (recognized June 4, 1982) is a wine-growing region in the US state of California . The area is located in the western part of the administrative area of San Benito County and is part of the parent Central Coast AVA and San Benito AVA . Immediately to the south of this is the Cienega Valley AVA .

The sandy loam soil is interspersed with pebbles and rests on a base of limestone and dolomite . The summer daytime temperatures are 29–35 ° C so that late-ripening grape varieties are used here. The wine-growing region is particularly known for its old Mourvèdre vines.
