features

The shrubby sea lavender is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 20 to 50 centimeters. The stem is hardly winged. In the inflorescence it has blunt appendages. The leaves are stalked, ovate, slightly wavy and glabrous. The cup is blue-violet. The flowers are white.

The flowering period extends from February to April.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 14.

Occurrence

The shrubby sea lavender is endemic to the Canary Island of Tenerife . The species grows near the coast.
