Lina Malin Arndt (born September 25, 1996 in Gießen ) is a German pop singer from Berlin , who became known for her participation in the final of The Voice of Germany 2014 .
biography
Lina Arndt grew up in Friedberg / Hessen and Berlin-Kreuzberg . At the age of four she took part in early musical education and later received singing and piano lessons. She had her first casting show appearance at the age of 13 in the fourth season of Das Supertalent . For her vocal performance of Use Somebody , originally by Kings of Leon , she got all three jurors votes, but did not make it to the semifinals.
Four years later she joined The Voice of Germany . All four coaches showed interest in the blind auditions , Arndt opted for Rea Garvey . She reached the final without any difficulty. After winning the semi-finals, she put the song Love in a Cold Room selected for her . The song then went on sale online and was the most successful of the four finalists. Since the sales also counted for the final result, she went with a lead into the final on December 12, 2014, but after the audience voting came in second behind Charley Ann Schmutzler . After several tours, u. a. with Rea Garvey, Lina Arndt studied songwriting for a year at the renowned "Bimm" (British and Irish Modern Music Institute) in London. In December 2019 Lina Arndt released her first EP "Catfish" with her band "The Married Men", which consists partly of former members of the Nina Hagen band.
