The Lincoln Blackwood was the world's first full-size pickup truck. It sold poorly and was therefore only offered in the 2002 model year. Despite its poor performance in the American auto market, Lincoln's competitor Cadillac introduced the Escalade EXT a few months after the Blackwood was introduced , and it sold much better. In the 2005 model year, Lincoln countered with the Mark LT . The Mark LT has now become the most popular full-size pick-up truck and has left the Cadillac Escalade EXT behind.

Its 5.4 liter V8 engine develops 224 kW (304 hp) and achieves a maximum torque of 481 Nm.

The vehicle was designed by Patrick Schiavone.
