The Lincoln Aviator is a sport utility vehicle , which is very similar in design to the larger Lincoln Navigator . Compared to its sister models Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer , it is of higher quality in terms of equipment and engine performance.

In 2002 a study was presented by the Aviator. The aviator was manufactured by the Ford- owned Lincoln brand from 2003 to 2005.

After a 14-year break, a new generation of the Aviator was launched in May 2019. The SUV was presented at the LA Auto Show in November 2018 . Compared to its predecessor, the new model has a self-supporting body and is only available with a V6 turbo engine (optionally as a plug-in hybrid ).
