Linda Algotsson (born March 22, 1972 in Lyckeby ) is a Swedish eventing rider .

Career

Linda Algotsson started riding early on her parents' farm. At the age of 16 she began to ride eventing tests.

Linda Algotsson played her first Summer Olympics with Lafayette in 1996, and since then she has been a regular part of Swedish teams at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships. Algotsson achieved her greatest individual successes between 1999 and 2004, each time with stand by me : in 1999 and 2003 she was runner-up in the European championship, and in 2003 and 2004 she won the World Cup finals .

In 2016 she started in Rio de Janeiro together with her sister Sara Algotsson-Ostholt at her fifth Olympic Games .

She trains with Elizabeth Lundholm.

Private

Algotsson comes from an equestrian family. Her sister Sara is also a successful eventing rider.
