Linda Allen (economist)

Linda Allen (born May 3, 1954 ) is an American economist .

Allen worked at the Hofstra University School of Business in Hempstead from 1987 to 1989 . She received her PhD from New York University in 1984 . Since 1989 she has been an interruption professor of finance at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York . Her main focus is the role of financial institutions in the development of financial markets and risk management.

In 1997 she worked at Columbia University . She is co-editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance .
