Lindenwold is a borough in Camden County in the US state of New Jersey . It is 4.0 mi² (10.3 km²) and had (2010) 17,613 inhabitants. The name is derived from the German word Lindenwald .
The community was founded on April 23, 1929 together with four other places from the Clementon Township .
Lindenwold has been the eastern terminus of the PATCO Speedline since 1969 , which runs from Philadelphia , Pennsylvania via Camden here. The station is also a stopover point for trains on the Atlantic City Line from Philadelphia to Atlantic City .
