Lindhelle is a residential area in the area of ​​the Werbach district of Gamburg in the Main-Tauber district in northeast Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The Lindhelle residential area is located on the right of the Tauber in the direction of the river on an elevation of the same name. The main town of Gamburg is to the northeast and the Tauber to the left. The L 506 leads in a semicircle from east to west around the living space. In the immediate vicinity of the Lindhelle residential area, there is the formerly independent Gasthof Tauberperle residential area , which is considered to have been incorporated in the neighboring town of Gamburg.

history

In 1989 a tusk of a mammoth was found below the Lindhelle corridor during excavation work for a rain overflow basin at a depth of about five meters, which broke in the process. After the restoration, it was taken to the Wertheim Historical Museum.

The living space came to the municipality of Werbach on January 1, 1975 as part of the formerly independent municipality of Gamburg.
