The Lipper Nürr , named after the Burbach district of Lippe , is the second highest elevation in the southern Hellerbergland at 617.8 m . It is located just under one kilometer east of Emmerzhausen ( Altenkirchen district ) and about 2 km northwest of Lippe ( Siegen-Wittgenstein district ) directly on the border between Rhineland-Palatinate (in the west) and North Rhine-Westphalia (in the east).
Location and surroundings
Like almost the entire southern Hellerbergland, the Lipper Nürr is densely forested. Meanwhile, about 1 km south of the Hohe Westerwald , which is more characterized by grassland and meadow landscapes , the altitude of which is also slightly higher than that of the Lipper Nürrs - with simultaneously decreasing relief energy .
