Lisa Marie
Lisa Marie Smith (born December 5, 1968 in Piscataway , New Jersey , USA ) is an actress and model . The American is better known as Lisa Marie .
Life
Lisa Marie grew up in New Jersey with her single father and grandparents. Her grandmother died when Lisa Marie was four. At the age of 16, she went to New York City , where she studied theater, dance, and music. She was quickly discovered as a photo model . Above all, she was the model for the photographers Robert Mapplethorpe and Bruce Weber . It made the covers of the big fashion magazines and appeared in advertisements for Calvin Klein .
In 1989 she sang in Malcolm McLaren's song "Something's Jumpin 'in Your Shirt" from the album Waltz Darling (1989). Bruce Weber brought Lisa Marie's entry into the film business in 1989 - she appeared as a young companion in his Oscar- nominated documentary Let's Get Lost, about the life of the drug addict jazz trumpeter Chet Baker . A year later, Woody Allen gave her a role in Alice .
When Lisa Marie had just finished an assignment for Calvin Klein, she met the director Tim Burton . She inspired many of his films - he himself referred to her as his muse . She was engaged to him from Valentine's Day 1992 to 2001. During this time she acted in several of his films, Burton often highlighted her eroticism (as a Martian girl in Mars Attacks! Her costume looked like it was sewn directly onto the skin). It is also noticeable that Burton mostly lets them die. In the DVD audio commentary on the film Sleepy Hollow , in which the character she plays as an alleged witch is bloody murdered in an iron maiden , Burton says: "I should try not to kill Lisa the next time!" After playing a supporting role as Nova in the 2001 remake of Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes , Burton ended the relationship to enter into a relationship with Helena Bonham Carter , who starred in Planet of the Apes and whom he met during the production of the film .
Her better-known roles were the vampira in Ed Wood and the mother of Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow . In 2012 she played the lead role in Steven C. Miller's thriller Silent Night , the remake of the Charles E. Sellier Jr. Silent Night - Horror Night ( "Silent Night, Deadly Night").
