Lisa Violetta Gass

Lisa Violetta Gaß (* 1984 in Bingen am Rhein ) is a German film director .

Life

During her A-levels, Lisa Violetta Gaß worked as an assistant director at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden . Afterwards she worked on various film sets as an assistant director, internship director and dolly operator. From 2006 to 2009 Lisa Violetta Gaß studied film directing at the International Film School Cologne (ifs). Her graduation film there is the short fiction film Gisberta , which was successful at many national and international film festivals, was awarded the title Particularly Valuable by the German Film and Media Assessment (FBW) as well as various prizes. After graduating, she took part in the EFA Master Class Ruhr 2010. Between 2010 and 2012 she worked for One Fine Day Films Marie Steinmann & Tykwer GbR as a project coordinator for the OneFineDayFilmsWorkshops project. In 2013 Lisa Violetta Gaß took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus .

In 2014 she received the Gerd Ruge scholarship from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW for the development of her long-term documentary film project The Voluntary Slave as well as in 2015 script funding from the FFA and in 2016 the MEDIA development funding. In 2017 she worked as a voice-over director for several films in the DAU project. In 2018 Lisa Violetta Gaß worked as an assistant director at the Fliegende Theater Berlin on the development of the play »Touches«, which she staged as co-director at Rudi Schmid's side in the summer of 2019. In 2020, the play "Im Bett" followed, based on the film En la Cama by Matias Bize , which premiered in Zurich (CH) in Keller62.
