Lisane-Christos Matheos Semahun

Lisane-Christos Matheos Semahun (born December 19, 1959 in Addis Ababa ) is an Ethiopian clergyman and bishop of Bahir Dar-Dessie .

Life

Lisane-Christos Matheos Semahun was ordained a priest on May 8, 1988 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on January 5, 2010 auxiliary bishop in Addis Ababa and titular bishop of Mathara in Numidia . The Archbishop of Addis Ababa, Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel CM , donated him episcopal ordination on April 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Tesfasellassie Medhin , Bishop of Adigrat , and Musie Ghebreghiorghis OFMCap , Bishop of Emdeber .

Pope Francis appointed him on January 19, 2015 as the first bishop of the Bahir Dar-Dessie eparchy, which was established on the same date .
