action

Hugo Schaffner is a bourgeois family man and leaves his boring life behind on a New Year's Eve. In his midlife crisis , he drives off in his car without a specific destination. During his trip he takes the red-haired Lisi with him, who calls him the "general" because of his uniform. Lisi tells him about stolen Swiss francs in her pocket. Hugo feels like he is in something exciting and drives with Lisi to a remote hut in the wilderness.

criticism

“Heimann's amusing novel was filmed in a literally hair-raising manner. In search of the folk cinema of the 50s, the director wanted to offer everyone something and presents yawning boring entertainment food with all sorts of clichés and platitudes. "
