List of Abbots from Weißenau
Provosts and abbots of the Weißenau monastery near Ravensburg in Upper Swabia from its foundation in the 12th century to its dissolution in 1802/03. The abbots of the imperial abbey Weißenau were as Reich prelates members of the Swabian kingdom prelate College of the Holy Roman Empire .
The list shows, among other things, the portraits on the four abbot panels that were made between 1600 and 1800 and are now kept in the Württemberg State Museum (but not shown except for the fourth panel). Until at least the 15th century, these portraits were ideal or fantasy portraits .
