The area around Wintermoor was mentioned as early as 1580 in the official atlas of the Principality of Lüneburg. The actual settlement began in 1794. They were house residents from Insel.

Bakehouse The bakery was built in 1946. A previous building was probably destroyed in the Second World War. It is a brick vault with plaster made of clay and a roof with turf. BW

Residential building The residential building was built from raw brick towards the end of the 19th century. The roof is thatched, one of the few in the Heidekreis. The building was built similarly to a four-column house. BW
