Halves
Ahlften lies in the north of Soltau. Ahlften has been known as Alfdinge or Alchtingh and Alethem since 1293. In the 20th century the place was expanded to include housing developments.

Prisoner of War Cemetery | The cemetery is located north of the Drögenheide residential area and south of the Heide Park Resort . Up to 14,000 prisoners could be interned in the POW camp. The grave sites of deceased prisoners from the years 1914 to 1921 are located in the cemetery of the camp. The memorial in the cemetery was designed by the Belgian de Bondt, who was imprisoned here. The memorial remained unfinished, only a mourner was created .. |
