Replica of the Bounty - Bounty II

This list contains brief biographical notes on the crew of the Bounty . The Bounty was a three-masted sailing ship of the British Admiralty, which in 1787 set out under the leadership of Lieutenant (Kapitänleutnant) William Bligh on a trip to the South Pacific to bring cuttings of the breadfruit tree from Tahiti to the Antilles . On the return voyage there was a mutiny, as a result of which part of the crew were abandoned together with Captain Bligh in a launch on the Pacific . Bligh managed the nautical performance, the boat and the exposed ones as far as Bataviato maneuver and return to England from there. The list dates mainly from Bligh's report, which he submitted to the Royal Navy, but also from the court files and the files of Edward Christian's lawyer, Fletcher Christian's brother . It documents the behavior during the mutiny, but also the further whereabouts of the crew members.
