List of honorary citizens of Canada

The honorary citizenship of Canada is the highest award presented by the country to citizens from abroad. It honors people for their outstanding services. The Canadian Parliament decides on the award . Honorary citizenship is a symbolic award. It is not associated with any privileges or civic duties.

So far, this honor has been given to six people. An award took place posthumously.
