So far, Markt Türkheim has granted honorary citizenship to 16 people .

In the course of the incorporation of the municipality of Irsingen on May 1, 1978, the honorary citizenships awarded there were taken over.

    Awarded on July 2, 1927
    The award ceremony took place on the occasion of his 25th anniversary as mayor. The old mayor-Wiedemann-Strasse is named after him.
  6. Jakob Sigle (born November 17, 1861 in Kornwestheim, † July 5, 1935 in Wiesbaden)
    Secret Commerce Councilor and the founder of the salamander works.

    In 1920, Sigle built up the branch of Salamander AG (formerly Lehne GmbH) in Türkheim. After him also was Jakob-Sigle-Straße named.

    Awarded in 1952
    Läuterer was ordained a priest (dean and episcopal clerical council) on July 26, 1906. He worked in Türkheim from February 14, 1935 to May 9, 1955. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, he was made an honorary citizen. The Oswald-Läuterer-Strasse was also named after him.

    Singer received honorary citizenship on the occasion of his 75th birthday. The Bürgermeister-Singer-Strasse was named after him.

    Bernhart moved from Munich to Türkheim on June 21, 1974. He is considered one of the great thinkers of the 20th century. The award ceremony took place on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The Joseph-Bernhart-Gymnasium and the Dr.-Joseph-Bernhart-Strasse are named after him.

    Kessel received his ordination (Episcopal Spiritual Council) on July 23, 1936 in the High Cathedral in Cologne. In Türkheim he worked from November 7, 1955 to August 31, 1978. On the occasion of his departure as pastor, he was made an honorary citizen. After him also was Herbert Cauldron street named.

    Zech was ordained a priest on July 9, 1933. From 1945 until his death he was pastor of Irsingen. He was awarded honorary citizenship on the occasion of his 90th birthday. The Pfarrer-Zech-Straße in Irsingen is named after him.
  16. Luitpold Schuhwerk (born November 11, 1922 in Türkheim, † January 18, 2005 in Mindelheim)

    Schuhwerk wrote poems in Allgäu dialect and was the director of the local history museum in Türkheim, which he founded and built up. The appointment took place during the ceremony of 300 years of market survey on January 29, 2000. The "Poldl-Schuhwerk-Straße" is also named after him.
